

Story -- Chapter 4Although Tayla woke early she still felt refreshed. Her muscles ached from the riding but overall she felt much better. She climbed out of bed and looked back around at Karlee. She was still fast asleep, curled up on the bed with Winter. Tayla scanned the room. It looked even worse than it did last night. The walls were made from a thin timber-like material and painted the most horrid shade of green. There were holes, Tayla guessed from the last boarders, and paint flaking from all over the walls. Story - Chapter 3It was in the early hours of he morning when Karlee was woken by the sound footsteps. She rolled over in her bed, expecting it to be Tayla up for a drink. Tayla groaned. Story -- Chapter 2The wind was cold on the back of Karlee’s neck as she started on her walk to Renald’s. She hugged her cloak closer to her body. The streets were dark and the silence was eerie. Karlee started to wonder if she had made the right decision in following Tayla. She knew once her father found out she would not be welcome back into the house. “Maybe you should go back” a voice in her head said to her. “You wouldn’t abandon your sister would you?” another one asked. “But what about your family?” the first voice asked. Story - Chapter 1“Run” Ty bellowed as the assassin edged closer to the small merchant ship they had been hiding in. Tayla spun around to see a man, around about her age, standing in front of the ship. “Get out of here Tay” Ty urged. Tayla jumped to her feet and started to run. She pushed her way passed the assassin but he stayed put, his eyes were focused on Ty. Tayla ran. She didn’t want to stop. She was scared. She ran until the wharf was no longer in sight.
